If you are a registered beta user with OnePlus, then keep your eyes out for new software updates. The new OxygenOS Open Beta 19 and Open Beta 11 for OnePlus 6 and 6T is now rolling out. It brings the Zen mode and screen recorder feature from OnePlus 7 Pro along with bug fixes and improvement.

Check Software update on your device
If you like things get done automatically then you can wait for the new software to knock into your device on its own. However, sometimes the update delays for some reason or the other. in that case, you can search for it manually and download as well. This is very simple. Just follow the steps.
- Go to phone Settings –> System–>System Updates.
- Now tap on Check for Updates
If the update shows up with new changelog and OxygenOS version, then download it. Connect to a Wi-Fi network to download the OTA. It is of 154 MB in size. Using Wi-Fi will save the carrier data charges. Also, make sure to charge the battery of your device up to 50% or more before downloading the new OTA.

Install OxygenOS Open Beta 19/11 for OnePlus 6/6T
You can install the OxygenOS Open Beta 19/11 for OnePlus 6/6T by local upgrade method where you have to move the ROM zip file to your device storage. Then flash it by booting the phone into recovery mode. Another way is to flash the ROM via ADB Sideload method. We have put up both the methods below.
Before moving to the OTA zip file installation process. You have to follow certain instructions and install a few tools and utilities.
Pre-Requisites:
- These ROM files are exclusively for OnePlus 6/6T devices.
- Make sure that you have the OnePlus USB drivers installed.
- Ensure to completely charge your phone’s battery to avoid interruption during the update process.
- Download the ADB Fastboot tools. (Required for ADB sideloading)
- Take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.
Install OxygenOS Open Beta via Local Upgrade
Step-1 Download the OTA zip file and copy it to the device storage on your respective device.
Step-2 Now go to Settings App > System Updates > click on Settings icon > Local Upgrade
Step-3 Browse and select the OTA zip file you copied in the first step.
Step-4 Now you will see the prompt on the screen to upgrade your phone, Click Upgrade Now.
Step-5 Your device will reboot and flash the OTA file via Stock Recovery.
Install OxygenOS Open Beta via ADB Sideload
Before installing, make sure to follow the pre-requisite and install the necessary drivers and tools on your PC.
- First of all enable the Developer Option, To Enable the Developer Option, Go to your Settings -> About -> Software Information -> More -> Now Tap on the Build Number 7-8 Times until you see a toast message “Developer option enabled“.
- Once your developer option is active, Go back to your settings -> Open developer option -> Enable USB Debugging.
- Download and Install ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac.
- Extract the OxygenOs.Zip file.
- Copy the Extracted OxygenOs zip to the folder where adb installed.
- Reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do this, shut down your device and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
- In recovery, choose “Install from USB” option in the recovery screen, tap OK to confirm. A screen with “You are in sideload mode” will be displayed.
- Connect your OnePlus 7 Pro to PC/Mac using the USB Cable.
- Now in your PC, open the extract ADB Fastboot folder and Press and hold Shift key and Right click on your mouse to open the command prompt window.
- Now type the command in your command window.
adb devices
- If you see a pop up to allow USB Debugging on your phone, Click OK.
- Now flash the OxygenOSZip file using the below command. (filename is the downloaded zip file name)
For Windows: “adb sideload <filename>”
For Mac/Linux: “/adb sideload <filename>"
Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS.
