While Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones don’t present many bugs, some users complained that YouTube keeps crashing and lagging on these phones. If you’re also experiencing the “Unfortunately, YopuTube has stopped” error on Galaxy S10, S10E, and S10 Plus, don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your device. Most likely, the issue is due to a faulty third-party app, YouTube application, or another software-related glitch.

Force-close YouTube app

The first solution to that bug it to force-close YouTube app. To do that press on the Recent Apps key on your Samsung Galaxy S10 and locate YouTube. Swipe up over the app’s thumbnail to force-close it.

Alternatively, you can go to Settings -> App -> YouTube and tap on Force Stop.

Force restart

Sometimes, app errors can be fixed with a force restart. You can do that on Galaxy S10, S10E, and S10 Plus by pressing and holding Power and Volume Down buttons for 10 seconds until the Android logo pops up. Release the buttons then to allow the device to reboot.

On some devices, the Maintenance Boot Menu pops app right after the Android logo. If that’s the case, choose Normal Boot from that menu.

Remove Google Account and sing back in

On some occasions, YouTube, which is part of the Google Apps, might not function correctly due to a Google Account issue. You should consider removing Google Account and signing back in afterward. To remove Google Account, follow the next steps:

  1. Go to Settings -> Accounts and Backup -> Accounts
  2. Select the Gmail address you use
  3. Once there, tap on Remove Account

Now, you should sign back into your Google Account. Check if the “Unfortunately, YouTube has stopped” error on Galaxy S10, S10E, and S10 Plus is solved. If not, move to the next solution.

Clear YouTube cache and data

YouTube keeps crashing and lagging due to a corrupt cache or data, too. Accordingly, you should consider clearing YouTuibe cache and data:

  1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> YouTube
  2. Tap on Clear Cache and wait for the operation to complete
  3. Then, tap on Clear Data and on Delete in the dialog box that appears
  4. Confirm the selection

Update YouTube app

Sometimes, you can fix “Unfortunately, YouTube has stopped” error on Galaxy S10, S10E, and S10 Plus due to a bug in the YouTube app version you have on your smartphone. If that’s the case, Google is most likely aware of the glitch, so there might already be an update available.

To update YouTube go to Google Play Store -> My Apps & Games and locate YouTube. Tap on Update if there is any available. Alternatively, you can uninstall and reinstall YouTube, if there is no update available on the Google Play Store.

Master reset

Many software-related bugs are fixable via a factory reset. That’s also the case with the YouTube-related issues. To factory reset your Samsung Galaxy S10 follow the below steps:

  1. Shut down your device
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Bixby button, then press and hold the Power key without releasing the first two keys
  3. When the Android logo pops up, release the buttons to permit the OS to enter the Android Recovery Menu
  4. Using Volume buttons go to “Wipe data/ Factory reset,” and select the option with the Power key
  5. Confirm the choice
  6. “Reboot System Now” message should appear soon
  7. Opt to restart your device now
