The first thing to note is that OnePlus 7 is a lot cheaper than 7 Pro for obvious reasons. One Plus 7 Pro has the Snapdragon 855 SoC, an option of three variant 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM. You get two option for storage 128GB or the 256GB. Moreover, it has the pop-up selfie camera that is a 16 MP shooter that allows it to achieve that bezel-less design. The rear has a triple camera setup of 48MP + 16Mp + 8MP. It has all the connectivity features and is a great flagship killer in that price.
On the other hand, OnePlus 7 has a water-drop notch housing a camera in the front. And, all the other specifications are the same. What is Lockbox on OnePlus Device?
You get a little feature inside the stock file manager. It is called the lockbox. The lockbox allows the user to encrypt or hide sensitive data files. You can hide photos, videos or even any type of file that you don’t want anyone to access to. Moreover, it is ad-free as it is in-built with the stick file manager.
The files that you hide via lockbox will not be visible in any third party apps or file manager. Besides, no gallery app or video player can find or search for those files you hide with the lockbox.
How to Hide Photos, Videos or Even Files on the OnePlus 7 And 7 Pro
The Lockbox feature is not available in the app drawer or anywhere in the phone settings. It’s actually a built-in option in the File manager app. In case you don’t have the file manager or have uninstalled it then first install it using its APK. To use the Lockbox feature on your OnePlus smartphone, follow the below-mentioned steps;
- Open the File manager app.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Lockbox.
- You need to create a 6-digit PIN to secure the lockbox.
- Once you set up the password, the Lockbox can be unlocked using the fingerprint sensor or the password.
- To encrypt a file, select the file and long click on the file and select Move to Lockbox.
- To remove a file from the Lockbox, open Lockbox and click on the Move Out option.
Change lockbox Pin
In any case, your pin is known to someone or you casually want to change the Pin of the lockbox, you can easily do it.
- Open the lockbox app.
- Enter your current Pin.
- Then, tap the 3-dots on the top right corner.
- Select “Change Pin” option.
