Flipkart Introduces Flipkart Edge To Launch Flaghsip Phones With Exclusive Offers

Flipkart is one of the leading e-commerce websites in India. Amazon is the leading competitor to Flipkart, especially in the electronics category. Both e-commerce platforms launch exclusive products on their websites with competitive pricing.

Flipkart has been launching flagship mobiles exclusively since a long time now with many exclusive benefits. Interestingly we found a new banner under the Mobiles and Tablets category on the Flipkart app which reads as “Are you ready for the most innovative / inspiring / fastest / coolest Flagship Smartphones of 2019?”.

Upon clicking the banner, a new page opens titled “Home of Flagships”

There are many exclusive benefits to shop flagship phones from Flipkart Edge.

• Love it or Return it Challenge: If you return the phone within 90 days from the date you purchased, you get up to 90% buyback value. You also get an exclusive buyback guarantee on your next phone bought from Flipkart.
• Complete Mobile Protection: It might be similar to mobile protection Flipkart has already been providing on some phones from as low as Rs. 99.
• Affordable Purchases: According to Flipkart, “Tension-free” payment options will be available.
• Express Delivery: Delivery will be done much faster, including 12 hours delivery for some locations.

Well, more information regarding this is not available yet, and the page ends with “Stay tuned for benefits crafted just for you”. Even Flipkart has not made any announcement on this till now, nor were we able to find anything related to this on the internet. Interestingly, we were also not able to find this page when we opened Flipkart on a PC or mobile browser. We should wait for an official announcement to be made.

Expected launches:

The mobile companies mentioned are Nubia, Meizu, Oppo, Google, Asus, Honor, Lenovo, Poco and Samsung. Two phones are already listed, Google Pixel and Oppo Reno, while only the former is available for purchase as of now. Asus has already revealed that the Zenfone 6 will be launched exclusively on Flipkart. Meizu is expected to launch the 16S in coming months. Surdeep Sidhu, Sales Director of Meizu India confirmed this on Linkedin a few days back. Poco is also expected to launch the successor to the Poco F1, which did pretty well in India. While other phones cannot be confirmed, but, chances are there that Lenovo Z6 Pro, Honor 20 Pro and Nubia Red Magic 3 might make their way on this list.
